Lactobacillis Ferment (Pre-Probiotic) A ferment created from a probiotic bacteria, Lactobacillus plantarum. This ferment results in an abundance of Peptidoglican and Lipotechoic Acid, which creates skin-antimicrobial peptides to help increase beneficial bacteria and discourage harmful bacteria. This ingredient is clinically proven to help reduce the appearance of acne, increase bacteria resistance and reduce redness. After 3 days of in vivo testing. there was a 50% reduction in size on acne lesion, along with a reduction in irritation and an increase in barrier strength. This ingredient reduces harmful bacteria in the skin without skin developing a resistance to it like other antimicrobial ingredients can (i.e. triclosan).
